Strength and Moisture-Related Properties of Filter Paper Coated with Nanocellulose

The aim of this study was to assess selected properties coatings incorporating nanocellulose, with the potential being applied as a surface modification for cellulosic and lignocellulosic materials, particularly applications within biodegradable packaging. Cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) cellulose nanofibril (CNF) were produced on both sides pure samples in form filter paper Mayer bar. Selected organosilicon compounds, albumin, TEMPO reagent used additional modifying substances. Coating parameters determined, such water contact angle, absorption, hygroscopicity, tensile strength. presence resulted significant increase vapor absorption by substrate. Nanocellulose proved be sensitive showed no barrier against it.
